The heart of our business

Electronic waste collection & WEEE recycling

Computers, servers, circuit boards, cables, screens, telecom: we recycle every category of end-of-life professional electrical and electronic equipment.

Our core business

Supporting end-of-use to preserve the value of your equipment.

Every year, significant volumes of electrical and electronic equipment reach end of use. SFDE supports professionals in collecting, sorting and recovering these devices to preserve materials that can be reused or recycled. Our approach aims to turn this equipment into new resources while limiting its environmental impact.

From desktop computers to servers, including network equipment, telecoms, UPS units and circuit boards, every flow is handled through a structured process: scheduled pickup, controlled weighing and documentary tracking via Trackdéchets. This organization ensures transparent management and complete traceability of the entrusted equipment.

Printed circuit boards (PCB)

Electronic boards are the value core of WEEE, because they concentrate a significant share of high-value metals, notably gold, silver, palladium and copper. They thus represent a major issue for recovery and strategic material reclamation.

  • Motherboards and CPUs
  • Graphics cards (GPUs)
  • Network cards & controllers
  • Server and array boards
  • Industrial and PLC boards
  • RAM memory modules
  • Telecom / phone boards

Our chain

A closed loop, from waste to material.

Every piece of equipment enters an integrated industrial cycle, operated end-to-end by SFDE at its ICPE site. No opaque subcontracting, no chain break: traceability starts at pickup and continues until material is reinjected into industry.

01

Collection

We organise the pickup of your equipment directly from your site, based on your volumes and logistics constraints.

02

Reception & weighing

On arrival, equipment is received, identified and weighed to ensure precise tracking of the flows entrusted to us.

03

Sorting & diagnosis

Each item is sorted by nature and condition so that assets are routed first to reuse, then to material recovery.

04

Reuse & recovery

Reusable equipment is routed to reuse, while the remaining flows are prepared for material recovery and valorisation.

05

Traceability

Every operation is documented, ensuring clear traceability of all equipment taken in charge.

Official traceability

BSD & Trackdéchets

TrackdéchetsOfficial French platform

Every pickup generates a digital Waste Tracking Slip (BSD) via Trackdéchets, the French Ministry of Ecological Transition platform. This legally binding document follows every flow and guarantees, at every step, that your waste is entrusted to a declared operator and processed in line with regulations.

Professional WEEE

WEEE collection for companies

WEEE collection covers professional electrical and electronic equipment at end of use: IT hardware and servers, telecom and network equipment, screens and peripherals, industrial electronics, cables and electronic boards.

Corporate WEEE recycling starts by framing the flow: type of equipment, volumes, access constraints and any data carriers involved. The pickup is then scheduled, and each reception involves weighing, pre-sorting by category and documented tracking.

Framing the flow

Description of the equipment, volume estimate and site access conditions before scheduling.

Scheduled pickup

Pickup organised with your teams, matched to the packaging available on site.

Weighing and pre-sorting

Reception, weighing then separation of the main equipment categories before dismantling.

Documented traceability

Every pickup is documented and tracked with a digital Trackdéchets slip.

When collected batches include drives, servers or workstations, media are set aside on arrival for data erasure and destruction. Still-operational hardware is kept for a second life as reused IT equipment, the rest going to dismantling and board separation.

FAQ

WEEE collection FAQ

Which equipment counts as professional WEEE?

Electrical and electronic equipment used in a professional context and reaching end of use: IT hardware, servers, telecom and network equipment, screens and peripherals, industrial electronics, cables and electronic boards.

Is there a minimum volume for a pickup?

Each request is assessed according to the type of equipment, the volume and site access conditions. Small volumes can be consolidated or added to a scheduled pickup.

Which documents come with the collection?

Every pickup generates a digital waste tracking slip via Trackdéchets, together with the weighing carried out on reception.

What happens to the equipment after collection?

Equipment that still works is directed to reuse whenever technically relevant. The rest is dismantled: boards, cables and metal parts are separated, sorted and prepared for the recovery channels.

« No electronic device should end up in a landfill. Each one carries material to be reinjected into industry. »
